Learn, Train and Get into Care
Our training programme is designed to equip carers with essential skills. We believe that ongoing education is key to delivering exceptional care - everything you need to know is right here.
E-Learning
Learn at your own pace with our e-learning courses. This usually takes a few days to complete and we can provide a laptop if required.
In-Person Training
Once you've finished studying the theory through our e-learning course, it's time to start learning the practical aspects of providing care.
Shadowing
It's time to see how all of this new knowledge is applied in the real world. For 1-2 weeks you'll be paired up with one of our experienced care team to learn first hand how Tiger Lily delivers exceptional care.
Ready to Care
At this point, you'll have completed our mandatory training programme and you'll be ready to begin work as a Tiger Lily Care carer.
Care Certificate
Within your first 3 months you'll work towards your Care Certificate - ensuring you're up to speed with the core 15 standards that outline the essential knowledge, skills, and behaviours for those working in care roles.
Advanced Training
Take control of your own learning. We provide fully paid, protected learning time to all staff each year, allowing you to choose from a variety of topics, such as dementia or end-of-life care that you wish to learn more about. You'll complete these more advanced training courses alongside your mandatory refresher training each year.
Care with Confidence, and Certification
During your first 3 months working with Tiger Lily Care, you'll work towards your Care Certificate. You’ll learn new skills, develop your existing ones and begin your first steps in care.
After 3 months, you’ll achieve a nationally recognised and accredited certification that you can take through to the next stage of your career.
